Vacancy for a Terahertz Scientist – Durham Photonics Ltd
Durham Photonics Ltd www.durhamphotonics.com is a newly-formed small company developing innovative instrumentation and associated software for use in the terahertz (THz) region of the spectrum.
We are seeking to hire an innovative and resourceful scientist at the postdoc level to join a small team working on the development of a sub-wavelength imaging and sensing systems, primarily for use in medicine and biology. The appointee will be an experimentalist, with a proven track record in some of the following: ultra short-pulse laser systems, near-field optics or THz technology. The appointee will also have good team-working skills and a commitment to commercial exploitation of the science and technology in a small company.
The company, based in the beautiful city of Durham in the North east of England, has strong links to Durham University and to a number of THz networks and organizations throughout the world.
