The Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the University of Glasgow has a vacancy for a Post-doctoral Research Assistant position in the area of Terahertz Devices and Systems.
You will develop sources, passive optics, mixers and detectors for the terahertz systems to be used for imaging and spectroscopy, use these terahertz systems to demonstrate imaging and spectroscopy in a number of application areas. The successful candidate should have a broad knowledge in a number of areas including optics, semiconductor devices, microfabrication and far-infrared or mm-wave technology and will be expected to develop specialisms spanning these areas. This will include theoretical modeling/simulation, device fabrication, device characterization and critical assessment of device and system performance. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals
