THz Post-Doc Wanted – Ultra-Fast Optics Group, National Taiwan University
One post-doctoral research fellow position is available immediately in Ultra-Fast Optics Group (UFO), Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics, National Taiwan University to work primarily on (1) in-vivo and ex-vivo THz endoscopic imaging and (2) development of THz plastic-fiber technology.
For the past 4 years, we successfully developed compact THz fiber-scanning systems for biological imaging and high-sensitivity THz microchips for illicit drug detection. We have also successfully demonstrated two different types of THz PE fibers with a record high coupling efficiency and record low attenuation loss. Based on these findings, further development of these systems for future clinical applications is supported by National Science Council of Taiwan and a postdoctoral research fellow position is now open.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree and be willing to work on live specimens. A strong background in the field of THz waveguiding or THz imaging is preferable. The starting salary (depending upon experience) for this position is offered in the range NTD 715,000 – 975,000 per annum (1 USD = approx. 32 NTD). Additional benefits include air passage and medical insurance coverage.
Interested individuals should send their application, curriculum vitae, and names and addresses of three references to the following address.
