Research Fellow in Terahertz time domain spectroscopy with VECSEL sources

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly skilled scientist to work on an innovative project involving the use of VECSELs as pump sources for Terahertz spectroscopy

You should have a PhD and a profound knowledge of semiconductors lasers (preferably VECSELs) and Terahertz spectroscopy. You should be an expert on optical alignment and have experience in programming and theoretical simulations. Also hardware interfacing, data acquisition and analysis with Labview is required. A good background in laser theory would be an advantage.

This post is funded by the University of Southampton’s Adventures in Research scheme and is for 9 months only.
