THz Postdoctoral Research Associate at the NSLS, Brookhaven National Laboratory
Postdoctoral Research Associate in THz Dynamics at the National Synchrotron Light Source, Brookhaven National Laboratory – Requires a PhD in physics with experience in optics and infrared or THz spectroscopy of materials. Experience in the field of superconductivity or working with ultra-fast Ti:sapphire lasers is highly desirable but not required. The successful candidate will be responsible for: 1) developing and conducting studies of materials using the strong-field coherent THz pulses produced at the NSLS Source Development Lab linac: 2) participating in scientific studies and supporting researchers at NSLS infrared beamlines, especially for time-resolved studies of materials in conjunction with a Ti:sapphire system. BNL policy states that Research Associate appointments may be made to those who have received their doctoral degrees within the past five years.
